ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Call for Abstract
Delegates who would like to present their work at the meeting, are invited to submit an abstract for consideration by the Abstract Review Committee.These abstracts will be reviewed and selected for oral and poster presentations.
Abstract submissions are open only for HCPs working or involved with haemophilia care in the Asia Pacific region.

General Guidelines
- You are invited to submit informative abstracts of up to 300 wordswhich would not include the title of the abstract and author affiliations and other headings like Aims, Methods, Results & Conclusions. The abstract may include a maximum of one Tables/Graphs in jpg format (image).
- All abstracts are subject to review by the Abstract Review Committee and acceptance into the program is not guaranteed.
- The Abstract Review Committee will review each abstract and select abstracts for oral orposter presentation during the meeting.
- Abstracts must be submitted online. No abstracts will be accepted through any other mode (email, hard copy, etc.).
Abstracts must be submitted according to guidelines given below:
Abstract Title
Please write the title in Sentence Case. Do not use quotation marks.
(Example: The results of the research study on ALL in Indonesia.)
Authors and Affiliations
Corresponding/ Submitting Author: The person submitting the abstract (who’s email ID is used to create the profile) will be the single person to whom all correspondence/ communication will be sent.
Presenting Author: Details should be entered in the provided fields (even if the corresponding author is the same).
Co-authors: The system will give an option to fill details of up to 10 co-authors (full name & institute/ affiliation). In case you want to add more, please write to the conference secretariat for assistance.

The Committee suggests that the abstract follow the format outlined below.

Case Reports/Case Series are also encouraged and the following headings can be considered for entering the content.
- • Introduction (for Aims)
- • Details of the case/ cases (for Methods)
- • Discussion (for Results)
- • Conclusion (for Conclusion)
Conflict of Interest Statement
If the research described in the abstract was supported by a commercial company, you must indicate the company's role in analysing the data or preparing the abstract.
One of the following must appear at the bottom of the abstract:
"No conflict of interest to disclose".
"This research was supported by __________. The company had no role in analysing the data or preparing the abstract."
"This research was supported by __________. The company inserts free text describing the company's role in data analysis or abstract preparation."
This conflict-of-interest statement is mandatory for all abstracts submitted and will appear wherever the abstracts are published. For oral presentations, a sample slide will be available to presenters for disclosure of conflicts of interest to be displayed as the first or second slide of their presentation.
Available topics are:
Haemophilia and Bleeding disorders. The submitters can select the right topic for each abstract submitted

Submission of the abstract carries with it an obligation to present the accepted abstract in-person without any change in scientific content during the allotted time in the above conference.
Withdrawal of presentation should be intimated to the Abstract Review Committee on or before August 15, 2024.
Important Note:
- If the abstract is not submitted in the prescribed format, it will not be considered for review.
- The final decision of the abstract committee will be binding.
- More than 1 abstract can be submitted by any individual/ author.
- If an author as the presenting author is not able to present the poster for the conference due to any reason, prior permission must be obtained from the Program Committee regarding the change in the presenting author.

4. Originality | Abstract presents original research that advances knowledge in haemophilia. |
5. Relevance | Abstract is relevant to conference theme and interests of attendees. |
Support for Abstract Presenters

Call for Abstract
Abstract submissions are open exclusively for healthcare professionals working or involved with haemophilia care and inherited bleeding disorders in the Asia-Pacific region.

Available topics:
The content of the abstract must be related to haemophilia and bleeding disorders under the following categories. The submitter can select the appropriate topic for each abstract submitted:
- Clinical
- Laboratory
- Musculoskeletal
- Multi-disciplinary Care: Nursing, Dental, Psychosocial
General Guidelines
- Abstracts must be informative, up to 300 words, excluding the title, author affiliations, and section headings (Aims, Methods, Results & Conclusions).
- A maximum of one table or graph in JPG format is allowed.
- Abstracts must describe original work at the time of submission. Case reports and case series are also encouraged.
- All abstracts are subject to review by the Abstract Review Committee. Acceptance into the program is not guaranteed.
- Abstracts must be submitted online. Submissions via email, hard copy, or other modes will not be accepted.
- AHAD-AP members and non-members are welcome to submit abstracts.
- Abstracts must be submitted in clear English. Abstracts containing spelling, grammar, or scientific mistakes will be rejected. No proofreading will be conducted.
- The Abstract Review Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts where inappropriate slicing of results into multiple abstracts is suspected. Duplicate submissions under different topics will be rejected.
- The presenting author must register for the Annual Scientific Meeting. Failure to register by the specified date will result in abstract withdrawal.
- Submitting an abstract constitutes a formal commitment to present in person if accepted.
- Only healthcare professionals involved in haemophilia care haemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders may submit abstracts.

After Submission
- The Abstract Review Committee will review all submissions. Each abstract will be evaluated by 3 experts.
- Abstracts may be selected for oral presentations, poster displays, or rejected.
- Only the presenting author will be notified of acceptance or rejection.

Presentation Formats:
- The highest quality abstracts will be selected for an oral presentation.
- Oral Presentation: Presenting authors will receive details of the session date and time. In-person attendance is mandatory.
- Poster Displays: Presenting authors must attend in person. No virtual presentations are allowed. Poster guidelines will be provided.
Certificates
Oral Presentation:
- The best oral presentation will be awarded with a "Best Presenter" certificate.
- All other oral presenters will receive an oral presentation certificate.
Poster Presentation:
Abstracts selected for poster display will receive a participation e-certificate.
Note*: Abstracts will not be published in proceedings for AHAD-AP 2025.
Withdrawal Policy
Withdrawals must be notified to AHAD-AP before **To align with the dates at the top**.
Support for Abstract Presenters
AHAD-AP offers Travel Grant (additional) for AHAD-AP Member.
TRAVEL GRANT
AHAD-AP offers additional travel grants to the best 100 abstracts selected for either oral or poster.
The additional travel grant is a top up to the existing Travel grants for AHAD-AP members, as outlined here (To link the webpage on Travel and Accommodation grant)

Only the **original presenting author** who fulfils the following criteria will qualify for this grant.
If the original author is changed or the abstract is withdrawn, the award will be forfeited.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be an active member of AHAD-AP.
a. If Ordinary member, must be within 5 years of Highest Qualification.
b. Allied Health Professional and Associate Members. - The abstract must be selected by AHAD-AP.
- The applicant must be the presenting author of the submitted abstract.
- The applicant must register for the meeting by **[XXXX]**.
- The additional grant will be awarded only once, regardless of the number of abstracts accepted among the top 100 from the same author.
