One of the cornerstone for improving standards of care for PWH is continued education for all medical professionals involved in haemophilia care in Asia-Pacific. A shortage of adequately trained health care workers, including physicians, and poor understanding of the disease at all levels have been identified as common issues of collaboration between developed and emerging centres and support from established expert bodies are effective in advancing educational progress, as demonstrated by the work of the WFH in many countries through its twinning programmes. AHAD-AP, in collaboration with the WFH, has established regional training programmes for physicians, nurses and other Health care workers.
